Final Mayoral Hustings Taking Place this Thursday Evening

Mayor Dave Hodgson by the River in BedfordMayor Dave Hodgson will be appearing at the final mayoral election hustings later this week, at Bedford Blues Rugby Club on Goldington Road on Thursday 18th April.

The event is jointly hosted by BBC Three Counties Radio and the Bedford Independent, with BBC 3CR's drivetime presenter Roberto Perrone chairing proceedings. The hustings will be broadcast live on Roberto's drivetime show, commencing at 5:30pm and concluding at 7pm. It will also be live streamed on Facebook.

All candidates are taking part in the debate, which is the final mayoral hustings event scheduled prior to polling day on Thursday May 2nd. It follows previous debates hosted by the Mature Citizens Action Group and the Bedfordshire Climate Change Forum.

The event is free to attend and anyone can turn up on the night, but the organisers have requested that, to aid their attempts to ensure a balanced audience, those who wish to attend email 3cr@bbc.co.uk to register beforehand if possible.
