Shortstown's new Surgery is now open

Cllr Sarah Gallagher at the new Shortstown SurgeryCllr Sarah Gallagher and Mayor Dave Hodgson have welcomed the long-awaited opening of the new Shortstown Surgery, which is now open following many years of campaigning by Cllr Gallagher alongside local residents.

Cllr Gallagher, the Ward Councillor for Eastcotts, commented on the 'vast improvement' the new facility represents in comparison to the previous surgery in the village. You can watch a video recorded by Cllr Gallagher on site here.

Commenting, she said: "I delighted that the new Shortstown Surgery has officially opened. I, along, with many local residents have been campaigning for this new Surgery for years.'

"The new surgery is a vast improvement on the previous surgery with more space, has a much more modern feel and most importantly is all on the ground floor and fully accessible to everyone.'

"I would like thank the NHS and Bellway Homes for their work on the new surgery and local residents for their patience over the years."
